Mike Meola was hired as an assistant coach on Brockport’s baseball team in 2011 after finishing up his playing eligibility in 2010.

Meola, a four-year member of the Golden Eagles varsity, was a captain during his senior season, hitting .324 (44 for 136) with five doubles, 39 singles, 18 RBI and a .423 on-base percentage.

Defensively, Meola managed only four errors while recording 60 putouts and compiling 116 assists. His fielding percentage was .978.

As an assistant coach with Brockport, Meola will assist the Golden Eagles’ infielders and will also lend a hand in a variety of day-to-day coaching duties.
