Ryan Skellie was hired as an assistant coach on Brockport’s baseball team in the summer of 2013.
Skellie was a four-year member of the St. Bonaventure baseball team, where he earned All-Conference honors. He played in 177 games over his career and finished with a .284 batting average, 94 runs, 175 hits, 102 RBI’s and 12 home runs. Graduating in 2012, Skellie earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.
Before coming to Brockport, Skellie played two years independent professional baseball for the Florence Freedom in Kentucky.
A native of Erie, Pa., Skellie graduated high school in 2008 from McDowell. At McDowell, he played basketball and baseball. Skellie was also a member of the Junior Olympic volleyball team.
Skellie will be pursuing his master’s degree in Health Science from Brockport.
