David Lapietra has been part of the Brockport Men’s Soccer program for as long as he can remember. He returns this season as an assistant coach, similar to his co-coaches. Lapietra was a former player for the Golden Eagles. Lapietra prides himself on preaching the team's core values and instilling the culture of Brockport soccer in his players. He will be instrumental in the Green and Gold's current and future success.
Making an Impact: Joining the Brockport coaching staff in 2017, Lapietra helped guide Brockport to a seven-win increase from the 2016 season (3), going 10-6-3 on the season and making a SUNYAC Quarterfinals appearance. Under his father, Gary, Lapietra helped lead Brockport to a program record 16 wins in 2018, culminating in a SUNYAC Championship and NCAA Tournament 2nd Round Appearance.
Maintaining Consistency: Since David Lapietra arrived in 2017, the Golden Eagles have gone .500 or better in seven consecutive seasons, earning the SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year award twice (2018, 2022), and making another SUNYAC Championship appearance in 2022. Since 2017, the Golden Eagles have made conference tournament appearances in six of seven seasons.
