McGinnis joins the Brockport Athletics staff after serving 11 years as the head coach of the men’s and women’s track and field program at Robert’s Wesleyan College.
During his time at Robert’s Wesleyan, McGinnis led his teams to 12 East Coast Conference Championships in the last 5 years. In addition to his outstanding win streak, McGinnis also made program history in his final season as head coach, leading the women’s team to an NCCAA National Championship, marking the first time in school history that a team captured a national title.
Not only did he secure the first NCCAA Championship in school history, but continued his list of accomplishments coaching three athletes to an NCAA Division II National Championship. His dedication to his athletes and the program won him the East Coast Conference Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year in 2016.
McGinnis is a 1983 graduate of Roberts Wesleyan and was inducted into their athletics Hall of Fame in 1998.
Brockport welcomes McGinnis to its track and field staff and are eager to put his long-standing experience and accomplishments to work.
