Bill Jacoutot

Bill Jacoutot became the interim head coach of the Brockport wrestling program in the Summer of 2021 after spending the last decade as an assistant and associate head coach alongside legendary Brockport Head Coach Don Murray. 

A Familiar Face in the Brockport Wrestling Room
During his time at Brockport, he has helped the program register a 68-12 dual meet record. He has guided 22 wrestlers to NCAA Division III Championship qualifications and he has mentored 13 All-Americans.  He has also guided eight Brockport wrestlers to Mid-East Regional Championships.  In 2018, he was named the Mid-East Region Assistant Coach of the Year. 

Legendary High School Coaching Career
Prior to his time at Brockport he spent 28 years as the head wrestling coach at Spencerport High School where he helped guide the Rangers to national prominence and a 353-28-1 record. His coaching honors included being named the National High School Coach of the Year and the Northeast United States (Region 1) Coach of the Year. The Rangers were nationally ranked on five occasions during his tenure.  He was also named the New York State Coach of the Year and he guided Spencerport to seven New York State team titles. He also mentored 11 New York State Champions and 34 New York State place winners. Jacoutot won 21 Section V titles and he was named the Section V Coach of the Year on 17 occasions. 

Talented Collegiate Wrestler
Coach Jacoutot’s collegiate wrestling career began at Middlesex County Community College in New Jersey where he earned All-American honors on the wrestling mat. He then spent two years as a wrestler at the University of Buffalo where he became a New York State Collegiate Champion and a Division I National qualifier. 

Education
Jacoutot earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo and went on to earn his master’s degree from Canisius College.
