SUNY Brockport Athletics

Jason Story

Jason Story

Jason Story was named Assistant Coordinator of Events & Equipment for SUNY Brockport Athletics in the summer of 2026, supporting operations across the department’s 24 varsity programs. In this role, he assists with game day operations, event setup and breakdown, facility changeovers, student staff supervision, athletic facility scheduling, external rentals, summer camps, and building management within the Tuttle Complex. He also helps oversee the daily operation of the equipment room, including laundry services, equipment distribution, inventory management, and the training and scheduling of student workers.

Story joined the athletics staff full-time after serving as a Graduate Assistant for Athletic Events & Operations and NCAA Compliance Intern at Brockport during the 2025–26 academic year. As a graduate assistant, he coordinated game-day operations and logistics for varsity contests, tournaments, external rentals, and campus events, while acting as a primary point of contact for visiting teams, officials, and game personnel. He played a key role in recruiting, training, and supervising student event staff and building managers, and contributed to facility transition projects, updated operations materials, and helped ensure day-to-day readiness across Brockport’s NCAA Division III athletics program.

A decorated collegiate baseball student-athlete, Story began his career at Utica University, where he earned ABCA/Rawlings All-Region III Second Team and All-Empire 8 First Team honors in 2024 as one of the conference’s top outfielders. He continued his playing career at SUNY Brockport, earning First Team All-Empire 8 and ABCA/Rawlings All-New York Region Second Team honors in 2025. That season, he helped lead the Golden Eagles to their first-ever Empire 8 Championship and an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament, contributing to one of the most successful campaigns in program history.

Story completed his Master of Science in Athletic Administration at SUNY Brockport in May 2026, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. He previously earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Sport Management, with a minor in Public Relations, from Utica University in 2024.
