Freshman Cecilia Sigrist (Rochester, NY/West Irondequoit) averaged over 10 points per game and grabbed more than seven rebounds per game in three contests last week and has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week.

The freshman who has started every game of her young career was tied for the team lead with nine rebounds against Oswego. Over the weekend, she scored six points and grabbed six rebounds in a close loss to Potsdam and led the Golden Eagles with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Plattsburgh.

For the season, Sigrist is second on the team averaging 7.3 points per game and is also second in rebounding with 5.6 per contest. The Women’s Basketball team wraps up the first semester with a home game against Morrisville at 7 pm Friday.
