Junior Nicole Jones (West Charlton, NY/Galway) of the women’s track and field team has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week after winning two events at the St. Lawrence Invitational.

Jones put up an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying mark of 12.49 meters in her first place finish in the shot put. It is Jones’ second victory in the shot put in as many meets this season as she posted a distance of 12.01 meters at the RIT Invitational last weekend.

Jones also won the weight throw event at St. Lawrence with another ECAC qualifying distance of 14.40 meters. Jones finished second in the weight throw the previous week at RIT. The Golden Eagles came in third place at the St. Lawrence Invite.
