Senior Corey Booth (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week after picking up seven hits in four games for Brockport baseball team.
In the first game of their spring training trip against Penn State-Altoona on Friday, Booth went a perfect 4-4 at the plate including a double and also had two runs batted in as Brockport fell to the Lions 7-4. In game two of the doubleheader, Booth went 2-3 and manufactured a run after reaching on a single, stealing second, advancing to third on a balk, and scoring on a sacrifice fly. Brockport dropped the second game 3-2. On Saturday, Booth added a hit in a doubleheader against RPI as the Golden Eagles split with The Engineers.
Booth is now batting .321 on the season with 10 hits and four runs batted in. Brockport returns to action on Monday with a single game against Dickinson (PA) College at 1:00 pm.
