Junior Zach Ferrara (Rochester, NY/Irondequoit) of the men’s track and field team has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week after earning his second school record in the pole vault event.

Ferrara, who already owned the top three heights in Brockport school history in the indoor pole vault event with a top mark of 5.01 meters (16’ 5 ¼”), set the outdoor school record in the event with a height of 4.8 meters at the Roberts Wesleyan College Raider Open on Saturday. The outdoor height is also an Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying mark. His previous season-high was 4.77 meters at the Cortland Classic on April 22.
