Senior linebacker Nate Bull (Brockport, NY/Brockport) made a career-high 20 tackles and also added a sack and an interception during The College at Brockport’s 30-16 home win over William Paterson Saturday afternoon to earn Brockport’s Male Athlete of the Week honors.
Bull’s fourth-quarter interception, the third pick of the game by Brockport’s defense, set up the Golden Eagles’ final scoring drive in the fourth quarter to push Brockport’s lead to 30-9. Bull had two solo tackles and 18 assisted tackles to lead a Brockport defense that limited the Pioneers to just 236 yards of total offense, 75 yards below their season average. Brockport improved to 3-0 all-time against William Paterson.
Bull has 78 tackles, most in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, and the 20 tackles against William Paterson are also the most in the NJAC this year. Bull also leads the NJAC with 13.0 tackles per game and he has nine tackles for a loss, tied for fourth-most in the NJAC.
