Olivia Sylvestro (Palm City, FL/Martin County) of the women’s gymnastics team has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Golden Eagles to victory in their first meet of the season, defeating Ithaca 179.450-177.825.

The sophomore scored a team-best on the vault with a score of 9.47. Sylvestro’s score was tied for the best mark of the meet. Brockport outscored Ithaca 46.400-45.475 on the vault.

Sylvestro also scored a team-best on the floor with a 9.40 to take the top overall score at the meet.

The Golden Eagles will take on Springfield in the team’s first home meet of the season on Jan. 19 at 1:00 pm.
