Senior Ryan Phillips (Hamlin, NY/Brockport) has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on September 29.

Phillips was strong both offensively and defensively, helping the Golden Eagles start SUNYAC play 2-0.

Against Fredonia on Friday, Phillips was an anchor on defense and helped Brockport record its seventh shutout of the season.

On Saturday, Phillips recorded the game-winner against a scrappy Buffalo State team. Phillips connected on a strong throw-in, sailing the ball right past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net. The goal was Phillips’ first of the season.

The Golden Eagles return to action at 4:00 pm on Friday at New Paltz for another SUNYAC matchup.
