Junior Rachel Malone (Fairport, NY/Fairport) has been chosen as The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on November 17.

Malone finished fifth overall at the NCAA Atlantic Regional on Saturday afternoon at Letchworth State Park. She was also the first State University of New York Athletic Conference finisher, edging out a runner from Oneonta by less than a second.

With the fifth place finish, Malone earned her second trip the NCAA's. Malone ran the course in 21:30.7, almost 30 seconds faster than last year’s regional time.

The NCAA Championship race will be on Saturday, November 23 at 11:00 am in Hanover, IN.
