Junior track and field athlete Rachel Malone (Fairport, NY/Fairport) has been chosen as The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on May 11.

Malone added another first place finish this season after winning the 5,000-meter run at the University of Albany Last Chance Meet over the weekend. Malone has had a strong season so far and has one more chance to qualify for the NCAA National Championships this coming weekend at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships hosted by RPI.

Malone was also named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Year on Sunday evening. She is a repeat winner after earning the honor last year as well. Her accomplishments in just three years, especially her two All-American titles from cross country, are tremendous.
