Junior Peter DiLorenzo (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week for leading the undefeated Golden Eagles with two goals the week ending September 1.

After more than 100 minutes with no score between Brockport and St. Mary’s, DiLorenzo put Brockport on the board with his season opening overtime goal. He received a pass about 30 feet out from the net before he turned and a quick dribble led to a hard, well placed kick in the lower right corner of the net. His shot broke the stalemate and set the Golden Eagles up for a showdown with tournament host Salisbury University.

Brockport came out strong and took an early lead against the Sea Gulls, ranked #19 nationally in a preseason poll. In the 22nd minute of the first half DiLorenzo headed a ball into the back of the net to give the early advantage to Brockport. The Golden Eagles finished the game with a 2-2 tie
