SUNY Brockport Athletics

Senior Rachel Malone (Fairport, NY/Fairport) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 24. Malone finished 18th during the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship in Mason, OH earning an All-American honor.

This is the third consecutive year that Malone has earned the All-American honor, which is given to the top 35 runners during the Championship race. This is Malone’s highest placement, topping her mark from last season by two runners.

Malone remained with the main pack of runners chasing the top two runners for the majority of the race. With about a half mile left to go the pack began to separate and Malone maintained pace with the leaders to cross the finish line 18th and earn her third straight All-American honor. As a sophomore she was the first College at Brockport female runner to earn the All-American mark.  

 Malone was the top State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) runner during the women’s race.
