Junior wrestler Asher Kramer (Sloatsburg, NY/Suffern) has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the week for the week ending November 24. He helped lead Brockport wrestling to a seventh place finish during the New York State Championship Tournament Sunday afternoon in Cornell.

Kramer finished second amongst the 125-pound bracket, while assisting Brockport to the top Division III standing in the tournament.

He won his opening bout by technical fall with a 17-2 victory. During the second round he posted a major 12-3 win. In the semifinal round, Kramer and his opponent were neck-in-neck until Kramer was able to pull out the tie-breaker decision to advance to the championship bout. Kramer took his first and only loss of the day to the top-seeded Division I opponent from the University at Buffalo.

Overall Brockport finished seventh out of the 20 team field, with 66.5 points.
