Senior Samuel Taft (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady Christian) has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 19. Taft won two individual events and also teamed up to win a relay leading the Brockport Men’s Track and Field team to a first place finish at the St. Lawrence University Invitational.

Taft won the 60-meter hurdles finishing the race in 8.34 seconds, improving on his 8.4 preliminary time. He also won the long jump, launching himself 6.48 meters on his first jump.

Taft also anchored the 4x200 meter relay as the quartet clocked a 1:32.41 time, winning the race by nearly three seconds.

Brockport returns to action this Friday and Saturday with the Golden Eagle Multi and Invitational on the campus of Brockport in the Special Events Recreation Center (SERC).
