Wayne Bonsell was a key player in the Golden Eagles season opening takedown of Oberlin College, a 44-7 road win. The quarterback posted a completion percentage of 70 percent, connecting on 21 passes for 283 yards. 

The senior threw for two touchdowns, including his longest toss of the day, a 44-yard feed to Ian Gilhousen for Brockport’s fifth score. Bonsell successfully evaded the Yeomen defense as he was not sacked once, creating offensive opportunities for the Golden Eagles. He also ran twice for a total of 13 yards.
