SUNY Brockport Athletics

Kayla Barber was named The College at Brockport Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 9 after leading the volleyball team to a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship.

Barber totaled 35 kills on the weekend to go along with four aces and two blocks earning the SUNYAC Tournament MVP honor as well. Against the SUNYAC reigning champion New Paltz, Barber tallied 20 kills including an incredible second set in which she contributed seven kills in only eight attempts!

With the sixth SUNYAC volleyball title in school history, Brockport secured an NCAA Tournament bid. The Golden Eagles will travel to Clarkson this weekend as the No. 3 seed in the New York Regional bracket and face No. 6 seed Framingham State.
