Freshman Triston Engle had quite the dominating week wrestling for the Golden Eagles. Brockport had both a dual meet and tournament (bracket) style competition this past week and Engle won every single match by pin. He defeated his opponent against Alfred State in a mere 28 seconds, wrestling in the 197 pound weight class. Brockport scored a big 51-3 victory against Alfred, thanks in large part to six points scored from Engle’s pin.

Not to be outdone by his previous performance, Engle won by pin in the first period of all his matches at the Mount Union Invite, which featured multiple Division II opponents. His first victory of the tournament featured a pin in a lightning fast time of 21 seconds. Engle won three more matches on the day including his championship bout against a Seton Hall foe, in which he pinned at the 1:00 mark.
