Mary Jane Leja led the Golden Eagle efforts in the 2016 State University of New York Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. The junior earned First-Team All-Conference honors in two events. Leja took first in the 50-yard freestyle touching in a time of 23.70 to meet the NCAA DIII B standard. She followed that up with another first, this time in the 100-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 52.25. Leja also anchored relay teams, picking up a fourth in the 400-yard relay, fourth in the 200-yard freestyle and sixth in the 800-yard freestyle.
