Freshman net minder Joseph Romano was an integral part of the Golden Eagles finishing the week with a 1-0-1 record. The Niskayuna, N.Y. native recorded two shutouts, with his first coming in a 1-0 win over SUNY New Paltz. Romano made two saves in 90 minutes of action. In a battle with league leaders SUNY Oneonta, the keeper made six saves on 11 shots to blank the Red Dragons in 110 minutes of action. On the week, Romano didn’t allow a goal in 200 minutes of play, making eight stops for a save percentage of 1.000.
