Germinerio made a statement in week one after winning the Empire 8 and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Rookie of the Year a season ago. The Wynantskill, N.Y. native completed 68.57% of his passes (24-35) for 360 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown pass came on a 3rd and 16 early in the fourth quarter when he unleashed a 67 yard bomb to DaQuan Hubbard to break a 20-20 tie. Germinerio also ran for 55 yards on the ground, including a 14-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter that gave the Golden Eagles their first points of the season.
