Freshman Maurice Brown (Brooklyn, NY/Grand Street Campus) got off to a great start in his collegiate football career, taking an interception back 61 yards for a touchdown in his Golden Eagles debut. Brown also registered three tackles to earn the distinction as Brockport’s Male Athlete of the Week.

The Golden Eagles were scoreless early in the third quarter before Brown put them in the scoring column for the first time of the season. Brown was named the NJAC Defensive Rookie of the Week.

Brown was part of a defensive unit that only allowed 19 points in the contest. The Golden Eagles held the Ithaca Bombers to 4.5 yards per play in a narrow loss.
