In 2021-22, Peter Farkas will begin his first season on staff as a volunteer assistant coach. After spending the last 5 years as a student manager, Farkas is now ready to take on a larger role with the Golden Eagles in aspects of the program. During his undergraduate time at Brockport, the Golden Eagles made 2 NCAA tournaments in 2018 and 2020, including a Sweet 16 appearance and winning the 2020 SUNYAC Championship in 4 years. The last 4 years Farkas acted as the program’s director of social media, assisted in recruiting in the Long Island, NY area as well as player development, video editing and scouting.
Farkas is a graduate of Harborfields High School in Greenlawn, NY where he was a 4x Suffolk League V Champion, 2016 Section XI Champion and made an appearance in the NYS Class A Elite 8.
This past summer Farkas was an intern at DME Academy, in Daytona Beach, Florida where he worked side by side with Brockport alums, Mike and Dan Panaggio, learning the inner workings of their high school and national prep school programs. Aside from the men's basketball program, Farkas has also been an integral member of the Athletic Communications staff where he interned as a graphic designer and video editor.
Farkas graduated from Brockport in May with a bachelors in Sport Management and a minor in coaching and media production.
