Building Sustained Success
In 2011, with Wineburg at the helm, the Golden Eagles qualified for their first-ever SUNYAC postseason tournament. In 2016, the team achieved its best record under Wineburg and made its first appearance in the SUNYAC Finals. The team was comprised of three First-Team and three Second-Team All-Conference selections and Wineburg was selected as the Paul Rose Coach of the Year. In four of the last six full seasons the Golden Eagles have made an appearance in the SUNYAC Conference Tournament.

Before Brockport
Prior to Wineburg's time with the Golden Eagles, he served as an assistant coach at both Nazareth College and Alfred University. During his first season with the team, Nazareth won its third NCAA crown.

Hall of Famer
In 2016, Ben Wineburg was inducted into the Greater Rochester Chapter of the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame. A 1996 graduate of Nazareth College, Wineburg led Nazareth to a 1996 national championship, the second of three national titles in Nazareth's lacrosse history. The two-time All-American goalie was named the Division III Player of the Year and was the MVP of the national championship game while leading Nazareth to an 11-10 overtime win over Washington College in 1996.

Under Wineburg's Guidance
In his 20+ years at Brockport Wineburg has coached 39 all-conference players including two Defensive Players of the Year, one Rookie of the Year, one Offensive Player of the Year and 15 First-Team selections. Wineburg has coached three USILA All-Americans and 3 academic All-Americans. In 2016 & 2022, Wineburg was named the Paul Rose coach of the year.

All-Decade Student-Athletes
In 2020, Colin Blind '17 and Nick Smith '16 were named to the SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse All-Decade Team. Blind, a four-year standout for the Golden Eagles, earned SUNYAC Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2017 and was also named a USILA All-American for his efforts. Smith was a two-year transfer for Brockport and made an immediate impact as he was a two-time USILA All-American and a two-time SUNYAC All-Conference First Team selection.
