The College at Brockport hired Ben Klempka to serve as Brockport’s head women’s tennis coach in 2011.

During 2013, the Golden Eagles started off the season with three wins in a row. Overall, Brockport finished fifth in the SUNYAC Tournament and closed the season with an overall record of 6-5 and a conference record of 2-1.

In his first season as a coach, Klempka led the Golden Eagles to a 6-7 overall record and a second place finish with a 2-1 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC). The six wins is the most for the team since the 2008 season where the Golden Eagles won seven matches. The team won four of its final six matches, including a 9-0 victory over Oswego at the SUNYAC Championships.

Klempka previously served as the assistant men’s and women’s tennis coach at Nazareth College. A native of Cortland, N.Y., Klempka played tennis at Nazareth from 2001-2005, where he played first singles and first doubles.

By the time he graduated, Klempka was Nazareth’s all-time wins leader (147). Klempka was also a three-time First-Team All-Empire 8 selection.

A resident of Rochester, Klempka will be responsible for overseeing every aspect of the Brockport women’s tennis program.

Klempka is also currently an assistant tennis professional with the Billy Nealon Tennis Program in Rochester. There, Klempka works with both nationally and sectionally-ranked players, in addition to teaching private lessons.
