Building Sustained Success
Heading into her 10th season as head coach, Corinne Jones continues to turn the program around to establish long-term success with seven postseason appearances as a member of the SUNYAC. The program reached the SUNYAC Tournament in each of her first five seasons at the helm. In her first season, Jones coached the team to its first winning season since 2008-09. She has led the Golden Eagles to two SUNYAC Semifinal appearances since taking over the team. In 2023-24, Coach Jones clinched a home postseason game for the first time during her tenure.

Raising Expectations: Entering her ninth season at the helm, Jones would lead the Golden Eagles to one of the most successful seasons in program history. Posting a 24-5 overall record and a 15-1 conference record as first-year members of the Empire 8, Jones would coach Brockport to its second-most wins in a single season in program history, winning the Empire 8 Regular Season Championship. Following an appearance in the Empire 8 Championship, Jones would guide Brockport to its first NCAA DIII Championship appearance since 2008-09, the first in her tenure with Brockport.

Before Brockport
Before her time at Brockport, Jones spent two seasons at the Division I level as an assistant coach with the University at Buffalo from 2008-2010. She also served as an assistant coach and interim head coach at Niagara University. The former Bowdoin College basketball star captained two teams to the NCAA Elite Eight in 2001-02 and 2002-03 and was also a member of the Sweet Sixteen team from 2000-01. Jones began her collegiate coaching career in 2005 with the University of Rochester as an assistant before earning a head coaching position with Genesee Community College in 2007.

Emphasizing Academics
In 2015-16, Jones coached a recipient of the SUNY Chancellor Award, an honor given to the player with the highest grade point average (GPA) among the All-Conference. The same year, the team saw its highest overall team GPA (3.34) in three seasons. Under Jones, the Golden Eagles have made multiple appearances on the WBCA Academic Honor Roll, most recently in 2024 and 2025.

Under Jones' Guidance
In her nine seasons at Brockport, Jones has coached 16 all-conference players, including two First-Team selections. In 2019, she coached a First-Team USBWA Rochester area selection. In 2023, she coached Stephanie Jean-Baptiste, who was named SUNYAC Rookie of the Year, as well as Zairea Hannah, who represented Brockport women's basketball by earning first-team Rochester area honors. In 2024, Jones guided freshman Peyton Maneri to the Empire 8 Rookie of the Year award, while Stephanie Jean-Baptiste earned First Team All-Conference and Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Commitment to Leadership
Off the hardwood, Jones has committed to promoting inclusivity and leadership, founding the Student Athletes for Equity Group and serving as a contributor to the University's Women's Leadership Network. In addition, Jones serves as a Conference Representative for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, mentoring coaches throughout the area and fostering professional growth throughout the coaching community. Her leadership culminated in the Brockport coaching staff earning Empire 8 Coaching Staff of the Year in 2024-25, with Jones being named both the D3hoops.com Region 3 and USBWA Rochester Area Coach of the Year.
