Rachel Csakany (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) scored a season-high 20 points, but The College at Brockport's women's basketball team opened up 2011 with a 69-53 loss to St. Lawrence University Tuesday evening inside Brockport's Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium.
The Golden Eagles (2-6) jumped to an early, 9-7 lead on a jumper from junior
Desiree Fauvelle (Newport, NY/West Canada Valley), but St. Lawrence (8-1) responded with a 28-7 run over the remainder of the first half and Brockport trailed 37-21 at halftime.
Csakany scored 14 second half points and added three steals, but no other Brockport player reached double-figures in scoring. All 11 Golden Eagles who played scored. Sophomore

Liz Unger (Hamilton, NY/Hamilton) each added five points for Brockport.
The Golden Eagles return to action against Potsdam at 6 p.m. Friday night, then travel to Plattsburgh for a 2 p.m. clash Saturday afternoon.
