Senior Kelly Nowak (Orchard Park, NY/Sacred Heart) had 15 kills and 18 digs against the University of Rochester and nine kills and 13 digs against Fredonia but The College at Brockport Volleyball team dropped the first two matches of the New York State Regional Challenge Tournament Friday at the University of Rochester.

Brockport lost in four sets to host Rochester (21-25, 25-9, 25-20, 25-19) and then fell in three sets to Fredonia (25-18, 25-14, 25-18). Play continues in the tournament Saturday when Brockport takes on Lycoming College and Nazareth College.

Nowak led the way with her 24 kills and 31 digs. Alex Stribing (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) had seven kills and 13 digs against Rochester and added another seven kills and 11 digs against Fredonia. Sarah Zelko (Elmira, NY/Horseheads) recorded 30 assists in the Rochester match and Jaime Snyder (Elmira, NY/Thomas Edison) chipped in three blocks in the Fredonia match.
