Box Score

Junior Jordan Major (Rochester, NY/Charlotte) came off the bench to score 13 points for The College at Brockport Men's Basketball team but Oswego connected on nearly half its shots to post an 80-65 victory Tuesday night in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory in the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium in Brockport.

Brockport (1-6 Overall, 0-1 SUNYAC) struggled in the first half shooting hitting just 33 percent of its shots from the field and fell behind by 14 points at the half time intermission. In the second half, Oswego (6-1, 3-0) maintained the double-digit lead for the win.

The Golden Eagles missed their first four shots of the game and fell behind 6-0 but a dunk by Kyheem Green (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) trimmed the lead to four points at 10-6 with five minutes elapsed in the game. Oswego scored the next 12 points to stretch the lead.

Brockport rallied late in the half as Derek Klein (Valley Stream, NY/Long Island Lutheran) drained consecutive 3-point baskets and Green hit a layup to trim the lead to seven points at 30-23 with 5:44 remaining. After a Williams jumper with 2:14 to play in the half made it a 34-27 Oswego lead, the Lakers scored the last seven points of the half to take the 14-point advantage into the break.

Major led the Golden Eagles with 13 points while Jackson and Klein added 11 points each and Green chipped in 10 points and a team-leading nine rebounds. Green also led the team with four blocks.
