Freshman Maurice Brown (Brooklyn, NY/Grand Street Campus) was named the NJAC Defensive Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.

The cornerback registered 10 tackles and two pass break-ups in a Sept. 17 game against Rowan University. Brown is part of a defense that has recorded four interceptions and six sacks in just two games.

In Brown's first game as a member of The College at Brockport football team, he made three tackles, two of which were solo, and intercepted a pass that he returned 61 yards for a touchdown.

The Golden Eagles travel to William Paterson University on Saturday to face the Pioneers at 1 pm.
