Senior Rachel Csakany (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) contributed a game high nine points and nine rebounds for The College at Brockport Women's Basketball team but was not enough to upset the Buffalo State Bengals Friday night as the Golden Eagles fell 68-45 at the Vlogianitis Gym.

Brockport kept the game interesting in the first half. The Bengals held a steady 10 point lead during the first stanza, but the Golden Eagles refused to let Buffalo State pull away. Brockport trailed at the half 34-24.

Buffalo State came out in the second half and built on their lead immediately and never looked back.  Desiree Fauvelle (Newport, NY/West Canada Valley) scored all eight of her points in the second half. Cecilia Sigrist (Rochester, NY/West Irondequoit) finished with nine points and added seven rebounds for the Golden Eagles.

The Golden Eagles continue conference play tomorrow against Fredonia State. Tip-off is at 2 pm at the Vlogianitis Gym.
