Junior guard Kelly Grinnell (Aubrun, NY/Auburn) scored 17 points, her second highest total of the season, but the Golden Eagles fell to Fredonia State 78-55 at Vlogianitis Gym.

LaDonya Rolle (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds off the bench for Brockport and Rachel Csakany (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) had seven points and grabbed eight boards.

Brockport fell behind early in the first half as the Blue Devils built a lead by as many as 22 in the first half. The Golden Eagles brought the deficit to 15 at halftime, 39-24.

The Golden Eagles upped their shooting percentage in the second half and cut down on their turnovers. Brockport forced 11 second half turnovers. A big part of their offensive attack was in the under the basket as Rolle and Csakany combined for 18 points in the paint.

Brockport continues conference play this week with a trip down the road to Geneseo on Tuesday night for a 6 pm start.
