Byrnes scored nine of her 12 points in the first half as the Golden Eagles kept the game interesting in the first 20 minutes. With 4:55 to play, Byrnes sank her only three-point shot of the night to bring Brockport within two, 23-21. The Golden Eagles went into halftime trailing by just six, 33-27.

After a Geneseo basket, Brockport scored five straight points to open the second half to bring the score to 35-32 in favor of the Blue Knights. Brockport continued to battle, but Geneseo pulled ahead. The Blue Knights went on a 21-4 run that sealed the game.

Grinnell finished the game with 10 points and sank two of her three point attempts on the night. As a team, Brockport hit six of 13 shots from behind the arc and went 8-11 from the free throw line.
