The College at Brockport Men's Soccer team fell on the road to the Medaille Mavericks on Wednesday evening, dropping the nonconference game 1-0. The Golden Eagles are now 1-4 on the season while Medaille remains unbeaten at 5-0.

The Golden Eagles fell behind on a first-half goal from the Mavericks and failed to find the equalizer the rest of the way. Brockport fired seven shots on the day, but just two on net. The Mavericks had eight corner kicks in the match while Brockport was limited to just four.

Two of the team's corner kicks came in the closing minutes as Nick Tata (Rochester, NY/Aquinas Institute) played two balls into the box in the 85th and 86th minute, but Brockport could not bury a goal of its own. Tata and Marc Orlando (Cicero, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) were the lone Golden Eagles to test Medaille's keeper.

Freshman Casey Sullivan (East Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) made his first appearance in net for Brockport. Sullivan was credited with one save on the night.

Brockport is now the third State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) team that Medaille has defeated this season, dropping Oswego State and Cortland 2-0 and 3-0, respectively, earlier this year.

The Golden Eagles return home this weekend as a part of Homecoming Weekend at Brockport. The Golden Eagles will take on St. Lawrence, currently ranked No. 2 in the latest national rankings, at 3:00 pm at A. Huntley Parker Jr. Field.
