Volleyball Comes Up Short at Keuka

Golden Eagles fall in five games on the road

Seniors Mary Cocking (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen) and Jessica Greiner (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) combined for 24 digs while sophomore Liz Dates (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) added 11 digs and freshman Amanda Riebe (Pleasant Valley, N Y/Millbrook) chipped in 10 digs and 11 kills but The College at Brockprot Volleyball team dropped a close 3-2 decision to Keuka Wednesday night at Keuka.

Brockport (9-14) won the opening game 25-22 before the Wildcats 16-6) battled back for a 25-22 win in game two. Brockport took a 2-1 lead with a 26-24 win in game three but Keuka tied the score again at 2-2 with a 25-23 win in game four. The Wildcats took the game five tiebreaker 15-12 for the 3-2 victory.

Riebe led the team with her 11 kills while Jaime Snyder (Elmira, NY/Thomas Edison) added nine kills for the Golden Eagles. Greiner handed out 36 assists and Hannalee Fordyce (Amityville, NY/Copiaque) had a team-best four blocks. Riebe and Greiner had three aces each.
