Men's Soccer Held Scoreless at Oswego

Golden Eagles settle for a scoreless tie on the road

Sophomore Casey Sullivan (East Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) made five saves including one with seven seconds left in the second overtime period to preserve a 0-0 tie for The College at Brockport Men's Soccer team in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game Friday afternoon in Oswego against the Lakers.

Statistically, Brockport (8-1-4 Overall, 3-1-2 SUNYAC) dominated the game with a 14-5 advantage in shots and a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal in the contest. The Lakers (0-9-4, 0-4-3) remained winless on the season.

In the first half, Brockport nearly scored in the opening minutes with a shot from Chris O'Gorman (Wading River, N Y/Shoreham-Wading River) but Oswego goalkeeper Todd Lawson made one of his three first half saves.

The Golden Eagles had 12 corner kicks compared to Oswego's four in the game but were unable to get the ball into the back of the net.

Michael Bernard (Rochester, NY/Greece Odessey), Peter DiLorenzo (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) and O'Gorman had three shots each for the Golden Eagles.
