Sophomore Katie Frieh (Amherst, NY/Amherst) scored two goals and helped The College of Brockport women's soccer team beat Potsdam 3-0 in the final State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game of the season on a windy Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles played strong offensively and kept the Bears from getting a lot of scoring opportunities.

Brockport made the Potsdam goalkeeper busy from the beginning of the first half. The Golden Eagles scored their first goal of the game at the 34 minute mark. Annie Terilli (Brockport, NY/Brockport) notched the game-winning goal with a shot from outside the 18 that sailed over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

The Golden Eagles continued to pressure on offense but were unable to tally another goal before halftime.

In the second half, Brockport continued to keep control of the game.

Frieh scored her first career goal at 77:03 after a strong finish on a penalty kick awarded to the Golden Eagles.

Five minutes later, Frieh added a second goal, heading in a ball off a corner kick by Katie Dykes (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) at 82:09.

Brockport finished the game with an 18-6 advantage in total shots and a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Wednesday for the final game of the regular season. Brockport celebrates Senior Day with a game against Union at 3:00 pm.

With the victory, Brockport has secured the #4 seed in the SUNYAC and will host Oswego on Saturday in the first round of conference playoffs. The time is TBA.
