Kenny was one of four seniors honored prior to the start of the match as Mary Cocking (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen), Hannalee Fordyce (Amityville, NY/Copaique) and Jessica Greiner (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) were all recognized.

Brockport (9-10) won the first two games 25-20 and 25-17 before the Tigers (11-15) rebounded to win game three 25-19 and then edged Brockport 26-24 in the fourth game before winning a tight 15-13 decision in the fifth game for the victory.

In the first game, Brockport fell behind 5-1 early and trailed 9-6 before going on a 10-point run to take a 16-9 lead. The teams traded points over the next six before RIT called a time out and regrouped scoring four of the next five points to trim the Brockport lead to 20-16. Brockport rallied for four straight points and scored the winner on a kill by Fordyce.

Game two was a back-and-forth battle but with RIT leading 15-14, the Golden Eagles put together a 9-1 scoring run for a 22-16 lead before scoring three of the final four points for the win and a 2-0 lead.

Brockport built a 16-10 lead through the first half of game three but RIT called a key time out and rallied for 11 consecutive points for a 21-16 advantage before scoring three of the final four points for the win.

Game four was another back-and-forth scoring battle before a late Brockport run of three out of four points gave the Golden Eagles a 22-19 lead. Fordyce used a soft tap over the block attempt of RIT to bring Brockport within a point of the victory at 24-21 but RIT rallied late for five consecutive points and a 26-24 final score.

In the fifth game tie breaker, neither team had more than a two-point lead for the entire game but RIT scored three of the final four points of the night for a close 15-13 win.
