Brockport (5-3 Overall, 1-0 SUNYAC) fell behind early and trailed by 13 points at 30-17 with 4:35 left in the opening half. Marshall started a 14-0 run to end the half converting a three-point play before Faith Welch (Albany, NY/Catholic Central), Lisa Yacovoni (Endwell, NY/Maine-Endwell) and Erin Cunningham (Marlboro, N Y/Marlboro) each connected on 3-point shots and Welch gave Brockport its first lead of the game at 31-30 with a pair of free throws as the first half ended.

In the second half the teams traded the lead back and forth for the entire period before Yacovoni hit a 3-pointer from the corner with four minutes left to play giving the Golden Eagles a 60-58 lead.

Potsdam (3-7, 1-2) tied the game with 2:13 remaining on a pair of free throws.

With 1:31 left, Cunningham missed a 3-pointer but followed her own shot for the rebound and eventually kicked the ball out to Welch at the top of the key who drained a 3-pointer for the 63-60 lead. Potsdam was forced to foul down the stretch to stop the clock and Welch sealed the victory with a pair of free throws with 36 seconds left.

The win over Potsdam was the fourth straight in the series for the Golden Eagles. Brockport finished the game hitting 11-of-24 3-pointers (46%) and held a 50-39 lead in the rebounding battle.
