Hannalee Fordyce (Amityville, NY/Copiaque) grabbed a defensive rebound on the next Plattsburgh possession and hit a layup at the other end making it a five-point game at 55-50 with 6:03 to play.

The teams traded baskets over the next three minutes before the Cardinals used strong foul shooting hitting 6-of-8 attempts down the stretch to extend the lead and seal the victory.
