Box Score

Senior Hannalee Fordyce (Amityville, NY/Copiaque) scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for The College at Brockport Women's Basketball team but a 9-0 run midway through the second half proved to be too much to come back from as Potsdam posted a 66-60 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) win Saturday afternoon in Brockport.

Brockport (8-11 Overall, 4-8 SUNYAC) narrowed the gap to a single point at 43-42 with 11:10 left to play after a layup by Bree Fortney (Lorain, OH/Lorain) but Potsdam (5-15, 3-10) responded with a 9-0 run to extend the lead to 52-42.

Brockport got as close as three points after a Hannah Rehbaum (Cheektowaga, NY/Sacred Heart) layup to make the score 59-56 before Potsdam hit 5-for-6 free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.

It was the first loss to Potsdam in the last five meetings.

Fordyce led the way scoring with her 13 points and Rehbaum added 10 points and a team-leading three steals. Faith Welch (Albany, NY/Catholic Central) chipped in nine points, seven rebounds and three assists while Alexandra Marshall (Manorville, NY/Eastport-South Manor) also scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds.
