Box Score

Junior Courtney Szczesniak (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) scored in the second half on a pass from sophomore Chelsea Stahl (Brockport, NY/Brockport) to prevent a shutout loss as Buffalo State scored a 4-1 win Friday afternoon in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game on A. Huntley Parker Jr. Field in Brockport.

Buffalo State (3-3-2 Overall, 1-0-0 SUNYAC) scored twice in the final 10 minutes of the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the halftime intermission.

In the second half, the Bengals added a pair of goals in a span of two minutes near the 15-minute mark of the period to take the 4-0 lead.

Three minutes later, Stahl passed the ball into the 18-yard box and Szczesniak was able to turn and shoot past the Bengal goalkeeper for the Brockport (5-2-0, 0-1-0) goal.

Brockport was outshot in the first half 10-5 but rebounded to play a more even second half as the shot total was even at 5-5.

The Golden Eagles will look to record their first SUNYAC win of the season Saturday as Fredonia travels to Brockport for a 1 pm game.
