BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Catherine Eliasson and her Golden Eagle teammates held the Oneonta Red Dragons in check for The College at Brockport Women's Soccer team as the Green and Gold finished with a 0-0 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) tie.

Brockport (5-3-2 Overall, 1-1-1 SUNYAC) was outshot 17-13 but possessed more shots on net as the Golden Eagles tested the Red Dragon goalkeepers eight times.

Chelsea Stahl had four shots and nearly put the Golden Eagles on the board multiple times including late in the second half as she stole a ball from the last Red Dragon defender. She raced down the field and dribbled to the wide end of the goalkeeper's box eluding the attacking keeper. With little room to slip the ball in as the angle to score was slim the shot was just wide.

Eliasson finished the game with five saves and her third shutout of the season as the Golden Eagles tied its first SUNYAC opponent of the season.

Elizabeth Wilson finished the game with two shots on net from free kicks. The shots went in the opposite direction of a strong wind making any powerful kick impossible.

Chelsea Bowers had a strong game defensively for the Golden Eagles, consistently clearing any Red Dragon scoring opportunity. Courtney Szczesniak also led her team by her non-stop pressure on Oneonta's attack.

Brockport returns to action Saturday with another home contest against SUNYAC opponent New Paltz. The game was rescheduled for a 12 p.m. start from its originally scheduled time and will be played on Bob Boozer Field at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium.
