Field Hockey Drops 4-1 Contest at Fisher

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The College at Brockport field hockey team suffered a 4-1 loss to St. John Fisher College Thursday afternoon in a non-conference matchup Thursday night.  Margo Tremaine netted her fifth goal of the season in the loss.

Brockport (2-15 overall, 1-5 conference) found itself in an early deficit as St. John Fisher (12-5, 6-2) scored two goals less than 10 minutes into the game.  The Cardinals tacked on two more goals late in the first half to take a 4-0 to halftime.  The Golden Eagles had a scoring opportunity late in the first half as the team earned itself a penalty corner but was unable to capitalize on the opportunity.

Eight minutes into the second half Tremaine nailed a shot from the center of the circle for Brockport's lone goal of the game.  Katherine Weyant picked up the assist on the goal.

The Green and Gold defense held the Cardinals scoreless in the second half.  Adriana DeDie tallied four saves in the second half while Sarah Beam tallied three in the first half.

The Golden Eagles have one regular season game remaining.  They will head to Ithaca College this Saturday with faceoff set for 12 p.m.
