BROCKPORT, N.Y. – A last second three downed the College at Brockport men's basketball team on Friday night as the Golden Eagles dropped a heartbreaker in SUNYAC action against SUNY Geneseo, 60-58.

With just under a minute to play, the Golden Eagles found themselves trailing 57-55 when Lyerly worked the ball into the paint, only to have it stripped away. Lyerly fought to regain possession, and with 14 seconds left, muscled in a bucket to knot the score at 57-57.

Olusola Adeniran and a three and jumper from Gavin, Brockport posted a 14-8 lead. By the 7:24 mark, the Knights had picked up a 20-18 lead, but a 13-2 run from the Golden Eagles, featuring buckets from Blythers, Gavin,

At the half, Gavin led the way with nine points, with Nelson adding five. Brockport shot 41.9 percent from the field and held their opponents to just 25.8 percent shooting.
The back and fourth action ensued in the second half, with the Knights slowly chipping away at the Brockport lead. By the 14:35 mark, the Golden Eagles saw their lead vanish after a Knights jumper, but trailed only momentarily as a Lyerly jumper and a pair of
Patrick Modzelewski free throws gave the Green and Gold a 39-36 cushion.
Down the stretch in the second half there were eight lead changes and four tied scores that led to the Knights gaining the ultimate lead on their final possession to down the Golden Eagles 60-58.
