ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The College at Brockport spilt a double header against the Rochester Institute of Technology on Wednesday afternoon. The Golden Eagles won the first game by a score of 5-2 before slipping in game two 5-2. Brockport moves to 8-8 on the season, while RIT now has a record of 13-6.
 
Game One:
RIT was able to get on the board first, pushing across one run in the bottom of the third inning. The Green and Gold answered in the top half of the fourth, scoring twice. 
Karleigh Eaton delivered the blow, a two-run home run to left center field, her first long ball of the season, giving Brockport a 2-1 advantage.
 
The Golden Eagles struck three more times in the top of the seventh inning. 
Lexi Abernathy opened the frame with a single to centerfield. With two runners on and two outs, 
Alison Missavage delivered the go ahead runs, lacing an RBI double to right field, giving the Golden Eagles a 4-2 lead. The Green and Gold added another insurance run off a single by 
Casey Danko that scored 
Mikelle Deck, who pinch ran for Missavage.
 
Michaela Contreras improves to 3-0 on the season, tossing a complete game while only allowing two earned runs and scattering six hits.
 
Eaton, Danko and 
Meghan Cullen recorded two hits apiece for the Golden Eagles.
 
Game 2:
The Tigers struck first in the second game, scoring three runs in the bottom of the third inning and tacking on two more in the fourth. The Golden Eagles were able to cut into the five run deficit in the top of the sixth on a two-run blast off the bat of 
Lindsay Wachna.
 
Morgan Flamholtz singled up the middle to open the seventh inning, however RIT sat the next three Golden Eagle batters down in order to secure the victory.
 
Becky Knorr moves to 2-2 on the season. The junior pitched a complete game, allowing five runs on nine hits and striking out five batters.
 
Wachna went a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate and drove in both of the Golden Eagles runs. Flamholtz recorded two hits including a double, while 
Alexis Ross and Cullen chipped in with one hit each.
 
Brockport returns to action on Friday, April 7 playing a doubleheader against Plattsburgh State at SUNY Geneseo. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
